This is the constitution or document of the business. It regulates all activities of the partnership business. It aims at guiding the business against or resolving disagreements. The article of the partnership is normally drawn by a solicitor for the partners. 

Partners must agree and sign the agreement as the law requires. The structure and contents of the deed of the partnership may vary from partnership to partnership. However, they include all or some of the following contents:



>Name of the firm.

>Names of partners.

>The place of business.

>The description of the nature of business.

>The amount of capital contributed by each partner.

>The role of each partner in the business.

>The methods of profits and losses sharing.

>The compensation to the partners who render services to the business,if any.

>The rights of partners in the business

>Duration of he business

>How matter shall be determined either by majority vote or not.

>Provision for the admission of new members.

>Dispute settlement.

>Accounts and bankers and auditors.

>Arrangements for withdrawals or additional investment.

>Arrangements for the dissolution of the firm in the event of death incompetence or other causes of its members that affect the business.

>Arrangement for amendment of the deed/articles.
